Tech giant Samsung has been fined$ 14 million( roughly over Rs 100 crore) for misleading claims made about its Galaxy smartphones. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission( ACCC) has taken this action. The forfeiture pertains to an disquisition of the time 2019. The company released several announcements for its Galaxy smartphones that time. The emphasis on these announcements was that the phone is water- register indeed for 30 twinkles after being in water. In its announcements, Samsung depicted Galaxy phones being submerged in a swimming pool and splashed on them by the ocean. 

of media reports according, the company has agreed to pay a$ 14 million fine to ACCC for these deceiving claims. The company has also made software and tackle changes to its phones to make the water resistant claims more realistic. ACCC says that this forfeiture is a memorial to all businesses. The watchdog says that it'll continue its action against similar erring businesses. 

According to the information, these advertisements were broadcast on National TV of Australia. Consumer Watchdog covered some of these advertisements. Samsung has been said to have created a false print about the water resistance of its Galaxy models. The verity was that smartphones only registered in clean water. The point wasn't effective in ocean or chlorine mixed water. In that situation, there was a possibility of erosion in the charging point of the phone.
