The purpose of the EK BHARAT SHRESHTH BHARAT program is to promote the state / UT. The concept of alliance is to enhance and promote mutual understanding between the people of different States / UTs. States engage in activities to promote continuous and structured cultural integration in the areas of language education, culture, traditions and music, tourism and cuisine, sports and best practice sharing.
India is a unique nation, made up of diverse linguistic, cultural and religious threads, linked by a rich history of cultural evolution to a united national identity, with the freedom struggle around the clauses of freedom and justice. The spirit of mutual understanding amidst shared history has enabled a special unity in diversity, a flame of nationalism that can be nurtured and satisfied in the future.
Time and technology have bridged the gap in terms of connectivity and communication. In an age that facilitates mobility and access, it is important to establish cultural exchanges between peoples of different regions as a common approach to advancing diverse human bonds and nation building.

The concept of EBSB
During the National Unity Day held on October 1, 2015 on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi introduced the idea of continuous and structured cultural connection among the people of different sectors. The Hon'ble Prime Minister introduced that cultural diversity is a joy that should be celebrated through interaction and exchange between the people of different States and Union Territories so that a common spirit of understanding is rekindled across the country. Each State and Union Territory of the country will be connected with another State / Union Territory for another period, during which time they will constructively connect with each other in the fields of language, literature, food, festivals, cultural programs, tourism etc. For example, during this period, Andhra Pradesh is connected with Punjab, during this period, Punjabis will try to learn key words in Telugu, a few Telugu books will be translated into Punjabi and And Latu, Andhra people will hold a food festival of Punjabi dishes, Punjabis will present Andhra folk , While the people of Andhra will present bhangra in dance programs etc. Partner State / UT This method of cultural adoption will be followed by all the States and Union Territories.

How EBSB has moved forward
In India, the States / UTs are connected to each other for a fixed period of time. The paired states / UTs signed MoUs with each other, describing the group of activities they would undertake. An activity calendar lender was prepared for each pair through mutual consultation, which will pave the way for a systematic process of mutual connection. At the cultural level, such interaction between different sections of the population of each pair of States / UTs creates a vibration of understanding and appreciation among the people and creates a mutual bond, thus securing a rich value system of unity in the nation.
