The upgraded SCERT, now named as Gujarat Council of Educational Research and Training( GCERT) is a completely structured State position academic institution and is controlled and guided by the Governing body as well as an Executive Committee.

 GCERT was shifted from Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar, the State Capital in the 1997. State Education Department has been  distributed separate land for the GCERT for erecting in sector- 12. Hence the GCERT has been performing in the recently constructed structure “ VIDYABHAVAN ” in sector- 12 with ultramodern structure and rearmost outfit since 21st August, 2004 in view of the widening horizon.

 The GCERT works as a prominent institution for enforcing the programs, programmes and researches in the State.
